I loved my machine! 💛
I don't think I've ever been asked by any medical professional
just like they don't ask about trauma
It is difficult not only to ask "how was your sleep?" but we need to ask or even know how to ask, "What NEXT? or What then (regauardless of their answer)"
There are a lot of topics not discussed at PCP appts? At least my PCP does PHQ-9 & GAD as standard practice but really not much else. Some of it is the allocation of time but also the topics that many MD's are not comforatble to discuss.
Sleep is affected by and affects EVERYTHING! It's bi-directional. That's the tricky part :(
Def have to advocate for yourself!!! CPAP has made a world of difference for me!
I ended up getting a CPAP. It wasn't nirvana but it definitely helped
How do we connect the dots with people who demonstrate poor sleep habbits/patterns?
My experience is that when I ask, people are willing to answer.
Navigating the systems of care is very difficult and many providers don't accept Medicaid or even Medicare due to reimbursement rates etc. So totally agree with panelists sharing of their experiences.
I cannot see how many attendees are there ,can you put in chat please.
Sleep is a very common issue for the older adult residents in the retirement community I work in even though they have their own apartments so it is an issue across age spans. There is a lot of information that as you get older you need less sleep. I'm not sure I agree.
Is that cute kids sleep video available?
Thanks for asking Marcia, we are thinking of posting it on our pcdc.org/sleep site
THanks. Let us know if a recording is available
