This 40-minute webinar will examine systematic reviews on telemedicine for the management of patients with chronic diseases and other vulnerable populations. The chronic diseases examined in the research are hypertension, diabetes, heart failure, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, substance use, and behavioral health issues. These diseases represent the most common in the adult population; the use of telemedicine is more economically viable to treat and support improvement. The factors that will be discussed on the webinar will be the outcomes of telemedicine for patient engagement, perspective of patients, patient education and support, and understanding which type of patients benefited most.
